Send WhatsApp messages from WordPress

Trigger a WhatsApp template from WATick whenever something happens in WordPress.

  1. Choose your automation tool

    Use Pabbly Connect, Zapier, Make or n8n – see our Pabbly, Zapier, Make or n8n guide.

  2. Create a webhook trigger

    In your automation tool, add a Webhook trigger and copy its URL.

  3. Connect WordPress

    In WordPress, add that URL as a webhook for a WordPress form, plugin or webhook event.

  4. Add the WATick action

    Add an HTTP / API step and paste the Send Template API URL and token from your WATick panel (Settings → API Access & Webhook).

  5. Map the details

    Map the customer’s phone number (with country code), your template name and variables like name or order number from WordPress.

  6. Test and switch on

    Run a test with your own number, then turn the workflow on.

Use the right number formatCountry code + number, no + or leading 0 – for example 917620798265.
Use approved templatesOutside the 24-hour chat window, WhatsApp only allows approved templates.
Message opted-in customersOnly send to people who agreed to hear from you. It keeps your quality rating high.
Test with your own numberRun the workflow once with your number before switching it on for customers.
Keep your token privateStore the API token in the tool’s secure credentials – never in public pages.
Watch for errorsAdd an error path or notification so you know if a message could not be sent.
