Setup guide

Send WhatsApp messages from Zapier

Trigger a WhatsApp template from WATick whenever something happens in Zapier.

  1. Create a Zap

    Choose your trigger app, for example Facebook Lead Ads – New Lead.

  2. Add Webhooks by Zapier

    Add the action Webhooks by Zapier → POST (a premium Zapier app).

  3. Paste your WATick API URL

    Copy the Send Template API URL from your WATick panel (Settings → API Access & Webhook).

  4. Add your token

    Add your WATick API token as the Authorization header.

  5. Map the data

    Set payload type to JSON and map phone number, template name and variables from your trigger. Use Formatter to clean phone numbers if needed.

  6. Test and publish

    Test the step, check the WhatsApp arrives, then publish the Zap.

Use the right number formatCountry code + number, no + or leading 0 – for example 917620798265.
Use approved templatesOutside the 24-hour chat window, WhatsApp only allows approved templates.

Keep your token privateStore the API token in the tool’s secure credentials – never in public pages.
